Stuff I Dig

Miscellaneous Blogs I Follow:
This section is for those blogs/sites/orgs that don't quite fit neatly into either the "body (training-related)" section, nor the "mind/spirit" section of my site. They may be purely entertainment or may be friends of mine. Feel free to check them out at your leisure.

Quixote in Ramadi
This is my sexibestibeasti's blogsite. I'm not just promoting it because I love her and we go wayyyyy back to Army Basic Training and Medic School, but because she's got a great mind and some great material regarding spirituality, integrity, the experience of a female combat veteran and all sorts of interesting topics. Check her out if any of that stuff interests you.

Random Fitness-Related Stuff I Dig:
Disclosure: if you decide to purchase some of the products through the links below (not all of the links are affiliate links for me), I get funding for the referral. However, I hope you understand that the reason for their existence below isn't at all because of the money, but because I do seriously dig the product. I would not otherwise be listing it under here if I didn't dig it.

Gymboss Interval Timer
Seriously useful tool. Snaps on, easy to work and great for your sprints, HIIT sessions and all that jazz.

Isokinetics Black High Density Foam Roller
O-M-G I love these things. In fact, the only thing I don't love about these is the kind that isn't firm enough to roll your muscles to happiness. Which is why I'm specifically putting this here. These here save my day at the end of the day and make a great addition to my morning wakey-wakey routine to get me going. Click here to get one that you'll learn to love too.

OMRON HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor
This is a nice, affordable and nifty little device if you want to keep track of where your heart rate is at during your physical activities.  Feel free to click on the link to get one for yourself!

Flawless Fitness Book 2: The No Bullshit Guide To Getting Ripped, Making Everyone Jealous And Living For Way Too Long (Volume 1)
Let’s be honest, most fitness books are bland, boring and about as interesting as a stamp collector’s autobiography. Calorie counting, insulin sensitivity, lipolysis, periodization - it’s enough to make you want to hang yourself off an elliptical. Flawless Fitness 2 on the other hand, shatters the status quo by using humor, swearing and sexual innuendo (tools we wield to tell exciting stories anyways) to explain battle-tested, scientifically sound fitness techniques to help you achieve a model-like physique in record time.

The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Workout
Authored by Rog Law & John Romaniello - two guys who seriously know their stuff (just look them up). This is your chance at getting Resident Evil Badass Status and being able to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, and even if no Apocalypse ever happens, at least you'll be in the best damn shape of your life. Try it. You just might like it.

The Super Hero Workout
I dig superheroes. You probably dig superheroes. What little kid never dreamed of being one (and if you happen to be the one kid that never did, then... um... hrmmmmmmmm... you should probably go watch a bunch of superhero movies and then see if that changes your mind). Here's your chance to look like one. Check it out and then fly/magically appear/drive up in your batmobile or whatever cool way you'd arrive to my spot and thank me for directing you to this workout after.

Other Stuff I Dig:

Bulletproof Coffee
I absolutely LOVE coffee (anyone who knows me knows this). THIS coffee is like the happy dance in your mouth. That is all I have to say about it. Try it. It's totally worth your bucks. In fact, it's totally worth forsaking Starbucks and all those other crappy joints out there (but keep Philz on your list... and if you haven't tried them yet, you're seriously wrong).
